World Message of Peace

It is the beginning of July and it is a beautiful Summer at Tea at Tympani Lane Records. I have made my first small batch of blueberry jam and am hoping to pick up sales on peaches and pears and bottle them for the winter. I have some cat company, he is a street cat rescue and i am hoping he will be happy here. The poetry writes . . .

“an argument should never be continued after the grave.”
- Collective Wisdom

“it is never O.K. to do great harm for great good.”
- Collective Wisdom

“it is important to forgive but do not forget.”
- Collective Wisdom

“live by the sword, die by the sword.”
- Collective Wisdom

“it is the Spirit of the law, not the letter of the law.”
- Collective Wisdom

“it takes a Community to raise a child.”
- Collective Wisdom

“an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
- Collective Wisdom

“everything you say and do comes back to you thrice x’s thrice.”
- Old Wiccan Proverb

“it is no sign of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”
- Collective Wisdom

This is an ongoing series of articles exploring the universal truths of Old Sayings. In my experience old adages/sayings handed down through time have more than a grain of truth. All these old sayings from Collective Wisdom, are based in community learnings, perhaps after a negative event someone has coined a truth. It is as if the old wisdom of the agricultural Society is juxtaposed with the cultural rules, the rules of behaviour and social norms. Each new generation needs to be effectively mentored and discerned, to have an understanding of the Holy Spirit/Karmic way and the quicksand that can be rules of culture. It is good to practice the cultural ways that do not hurt others. If you hurt someone, it becomes magnified and comes back to you karmically, so there are only good witches. Ideally, the cultural rules that hurt others should be discontinued.

“an argument should not be continued after the grave.”

Some rules of culture include plebiscites against traditional family enemies. Usually there has been a disaster of some kind, a war, a lack of food because the harvest failed causing mass starvations, a renege on a marriage bed, a murder, a suicide. And then the families curse each other so that the children born into those houses may be set up, their marriage beds cursed, a lack of employment, a frustration in their callings from God. That is why it is important to not blame people for other people’s actions, “you can’t choose your relatives, you can choose your friends.” Ideally all children born inherit the universe and shouldn’t have to worry about the arguments that have gone before. It is not healthy to carry on arguments over things that have happened in the past or 100’s of years ago. Children born into a particular family are not responsible for the actions of their ancestors, it is like blaming someone for someone else’s actions. It is important to know who your traditional family enemies are and who are your traditional family friends. Always follow the positive cultural rules that don’t hurt others, have no enemies and be of good reputation. The Way of Peace.

Love,

Rebecca
